SUMMARY:Dead Last Ultra
DESCRIPTION:Sutton\, Massachusetts – Dead Last Ultra is a backyard ultramarathon at historic Waters Farm in Sutton\, Massachusetts. The rules are simple. The race is not.Every runner has one hour to complete a 4.2 mile loop. Finish in time and you’re back on the line for the next one\, on the hour\, every hour. Fall short and you’re out. We run day into night into day until one runner is left standing\, the one who finishes dead last. That’s the win. Everyone else went home early. The course is half of what makes this race. Roughly half runs through wooded trail with stretches along Lake Manchaug. The other half opens into farm pasture\, past barns built at the same time this country was getting going. You’ll learn the loop in daylight and meet it again in the dark\, when it shows you something different. Cool late-October New England nights make for fast loops and a long\, honest fight.Waters Farm is a 1757 hilltop homestead\, farmed by six generations and preserved on the National Register of Historic Places. We’re proud to be the first to bring a backyard ultra to this ground. \n\n\n\nLearn more here.

SUMMARY:Ghost Train Trail Races
DESCRIPTION:Brookline\, New Hampshire – Welcome to New Hampshire’s original 30-Hour 100 Mile Race! Ghost Train started in 2009 and is going strong today as a fundraiser for the Brookline and Milford Conservation Commissions. ALL profits go directly back to the trails to preserve them and make them more accessible to the community. \n\n\n\nThe course follows the Granite Town Rail Trail\, a former railroad corridor carved through the woods in the late 1800s. In its working years\, this line carried massive granite blocks from Milford quarries and ice harvested from Lake Potanipo in Brookline\, bound for towns and cities throughout Massachusetts. Those rails were pulled up and sold for scrap during World War II\, but the trail never truly forgot them. Weathered railroad ties still surface from the soil like skeletal remains\, marking the path where trains once thundered through fog and frost. Some say the corridor still hums with the memory of steel wheels and steam\, especially after darkness descends. \n\n\n\nEach October\, as the Ghost Train leaves the station\, the forest is at its most alive\, and its most unsettling. Peak foliage cloaks the trail in fire and gold\, daylight fades quickly\, and long shadows stretch between the trees. Runners pass through history with every step\, moving along a route shaped by industry\, labor\, and time… and perhaps watched over by whatever still lingers in the woods. \n\n\n\nLearn more here.

SUMMARY:Whites 100
DESCRIPTION:Shelburne\, NH – THIS IS NOT A RACE. The Whites 100 is a logistically-supported trip that helps clients complete the 100 miles of the Appalachian Trail traversing north to south through the White Mountains of New Hampshire. There is no timing and there are no awards. White Mountain Ski Company operates this trip under a U.S. Forest Service Outfitter & Guide special-use permit\, which is what allows organizers to provide supported access\, including through designated Wilderness. \n\n\n\nOrganizers provide transportation to the start and from the finish\, transport of your supply bin to five designated support stations along the route\, and resupply access at those road crossings. They do not provide on-trail guiding\, pacing\, or supervision — clients travel the route self-paced and under their own power\, and are solely responsible for their own navigation\, gear\, and decisions. \n\n\n\nClients start between midnight and 6 a.m.\, staggered to keep group size under 10 — non-negotiable in designated Wilderness areas. All clients are briefed on Leave No Trace ethics\, travel in designated Wilderness\, and general mountain safety. You must carry the required gear at all times\, including a Garmin inReach satellite communication device. \n\n\n\nLEARN MORE HERE

SUMMARY:Dirty Dozen 50K
DESCRIPTION:New York City\, NY – In the heart of New York City’s Forest Park\, an ultra challenge awaits that tests not only your endurance\, but your grit. The Dirty Dozen 50K isn’t just another looped race—it’s a battle of mind and body\, packed into one of NYC’s most deceptively hilly green spaces. Whether you’re an ultra veteran or a brave newcomer\, this is your mission if you choose to accept it. \n\n\n\nThe course consists of a 2.5-mile loop along the scenic Orange Trail\, completed counterclockwise for a total of 12 laps. While it may seem tame on paper\, don’t be fooled—each loop packs in 300 feet of elevation\, amounting to a cumulative climb that’s no joke. You’ll weave through shaded woods\, rolling terrain\, and the quiet pockets of Forest Park that make you forget you’re still within city limits. The familiar rhythm of the loop becomes both your comfort and your challenge as the miles add up. \n\n\n\nLEARN MORE HERE

SUMMARY:Mozo Double Up
DESCRIPTION:Stowe\, Vermont \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHeld every two years because of the complexity of the course\, the Mozo Double Up challenges runners to climb up and over Mount Mansfield TWICE over the course of 11 miles. This is not your average trail run. You will be going up or down most of the time\, with zero opportunity to lose your focus. There are no-fall zones (meaning if you fall\, serious injury or death may result)\, and quad-busting descents over some of the most technical terrain you can find. If you don’t run hills\, don’t consider this race. If you do run hills\, run more of them\, and run them often. \n\n\n\nLearn more here: https://www.ironwoodadventureworks.com/mozo-double-up

SUMMARY:The Magnificent Bastards' Challenge
DESCRIPTION:The Magnificent Bastard’s Challenge is a last runner standing style event hosted in Corinth\, Vermont. Unlike typical last runner standing events\, this one is hosted on a small ski slope called Northeast Slopes where runners have 20 minutes to complete a 1-mile loop and get back to the start to do it again. The course has a total of 330 feet of climbing. Though there is only one winner\, runners and ruckers who last 8 hours will receive a medal.
